I found this entry in the drafts and think, I will publish it anyways.here is mine, five quirky facts about my pets.
Starting with the two currently living with me, well Siri passed away almost a year ago, and sometimes it hurts still enough to shed tears and have a tight throat.
Grief is a strange animal.
I let it happen ...
Siri
1. when I imported her from Spain, she looked like a mix of bat and rat,
and she is quite the brat today :-)
2. she did not have a voice when she came to me, turns out she did not have Feline aids as the first vet suspected, but eosinophile syndrome and ever since she gets her cortisone pill, she feels so much better.
3. We thought she was a tom, since she had such a dark prominent area under her vulva, it looked like testes.
4. When she meows it sounds like she says 'mammaa?'
5. She was one of the poor things needing to nurse herself because she was separated from her mother too early, prognosis was that she would keep that habit to the end of her nine lifes, but after about six years she stopped and only reverts to it in extreme stress situations.
Dali
misses Siri a lot it sems, she still looks for her on all her favourite places and now since her feline friend is not here anymore, it seems, cuddling with me isall the more important.
1. She was a 'touch me not' when I got her. The spanish rescue people had called her Dolores, because she was making mucho dolores when people tried to touch her, give her medications or anything she did not like.
2. She wants her cuddles even from strangers today, having had the security of a loving, accepting home, she totally changed. She does not want to be picked up though.
3. She is the cat with the most '5 minute phases' I have ever seen or had.
4. Dali can not be bribed with food, plain kibbles and not many is her self chosen diet.
5. She acts surprised when she realizes she played with a string or ball and stops immediately.
I give this meme on to anyone who reads this and feels the urge to give it on.
